Walgreen's Affirmations

Since moving to my new place in August, I've come to frequent the local Walgreen's around the corner on a weekly basis. I'm so thankful they are open until midnight!! Sometimes, after a long, hard day at work, I don't have the energy to schlep into the large grocery store and search for my favorite bottle of wine. When in a bind, visit your local winery, Walgreen's, hah! There's a cab sauv that's usually always on sale for $4.99 and it has my name written all over it. One late night recently, I stopped in for my CS fix, and rolled up to the cashier in my worn down yoga pants and fake crocs. The cashier (old enough to be my father or grandfather) asked me how I am so beautiful. I pondered this for a second and gave myself a look-over and laughed out loud. The cashier stated, "It must be that you are single?" (He noticed I wasn't wearing a wedding band.) I watched as he glanced at my ringless finger. I chuckled and smiled really big and stated, "Well, actually, if you must know, I'm divorced!" "Divorced?! A ha, that's it! That is why you are soooo beautiful!" I smiled and wished the cashier a lovely evening and thanked him for his evening affirmation. His timing was impeccable.
